At the beginning of February, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky announced the bold ambitions to make Ukraine the largest European tech hub and grow the tech industry GDP share from 4 to 10 percent by 2025. Despite the challenges, the spirit of the Ukrainian tech community has never been as high – after all, everyone has the same goal.

#1 MacPaw
MacPaw is a Ukrainian company that develops popular software for macOS and iOS. Top-ranked apps like CleanMyMac, Setapp, and Gemini Photos are among its products.
Launched in 2008 by Oleksandr Kosovan, the company has won the hearts of more than 30 million users worldwide. Today every fifth Mac on Earth has at least one app by MacPaw.
MacPaw Foundation has already donated $5 mln to help Ukrainians. The team has also developed SpyBuster, a free app that helps to secure users’ data by identifying apps and websites reporting to Russian servers. What’s more, ClearVPN is now free for all Ukrainian users.
#2 DressX
DRESSX is a digital fashion multi-brand retailer that carries digital fashion collections from modern brands and designers. The project was founded in 2019 in San Francisco by Daria Shapovalova and Natalia Modenova.
The digital format of clothing minimizes waste during production and shipping as well as allows everyone to try on their dream pieces without buying them in physical stores.
The digital fashion startup has partnered with Farfetch, creating digital influencer campaigns for Dolce&Gabbana, Palm Angels, Balenciaga, Nanushka, and later for Burberry. Maye Musk wore DRESSX for the cover of Vogue Czechoslovakia.
#3 Grammarly
Founded in 2009 by Oleksiy Shevchenko, Dmytro Lider, and Maksym Lytvyn, Grammarly became a beloved AI writing assistant to 30 million users worldwide. And wow – it’s purely Ukrainian and made by Ukrainians. Its mission was clear early on: improving lives by improving communication.
Grammarly enriches correctness, clarity, engagement, and delivery by detecting writing mistakes and suggesting how to make any text better.
The company has hubs in Kyiv, San Francisco, New York, Vancouver, and Berlin. The global Grammarly wholeheartedly stands with Ukraine.
#4 Petcube
Leaving your doggie home alone for the weekend? Heading to the office or running late for your appointment? Petcube helps to stay in touch with your pet even when you are miles away.
Founded in 2012, Petcube creates digital home cameras with a passion for pets and technology. Petcube allows you to stay connected with your pet anytime and monitors your pet all day long. It also offers the Pet Emergency Fund and Petcube Care platform.
Petcube products are designed and engineered in Ukraine, its global team has numerous members in various Ukrainian cities.
#5 Respeecher
Respeecher uses artificial intelligence techniques to produce high-quality synthetic speech.
Since 2018, the startup has raised $1.5 million in investments and shares its technology with top Hollywood movie studios, video game creators, and many more businesses.
Just last year, Respeecher synthesized a younger Luke Skywalker's voice for Disney+'s The Mandalorian, which is the most successful Disney+ original series to date. Respeecher’s voice-cloning software also helps patients with disabilities to recover their voices.

#6 Restream
Andrew Surzhynskyi and Alexander Khuda founded Restream in 2015 with an obsession to help streamers get a wider audience. Since then, Restream reached over 8 million broadcasts delivered monthly.
Restream is the simplest solution for creating professional live videos and streaming them to all social networks at once. Millions of influencers, businesses, media, and NGOs around the world use Restream to reach, engage, and monetize their audiences.
In 2017, Reatream worked with the Discovery channel and showed the world the solar eclipse by broadcasting it to multiple platforms.
#7 Reface
Reface is an AI/ML startup shifting from a face-swapping app to a social platform for personalized content creation and unlimited self-expression of the future.
With Reface, you can swap faces with favorite celebrities, make fun videos and share with your audiences.
Elon Musk uses Reface, too.
#8 Delfast
Delfast is a leading global eBike manufacturer, producing unique, eco-friendly electric bikes exceptional in range, power, and speed. The brand's top bike has a top speed of 50 mph and an incredible range of 200 miles.
Delfast is also well known as a holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest distance (228 miles) traveled on a single battery charge.
Interestingly but the company didn't start as an eBike manufacturer. The team began as a courier service in Kyiv, Ukraine. Facing the reality that nothing existed to fit their need, they soon found themselves developing the fastest eBikes on the market, with the longest range in the class.
According to Forbes, Delfast TOP 3.0 is the fastest electric bike of 2022.

GO TO-U allows EV drivers to recharge at the most convenient points along the route and schedule local services. To make the best possible use of their time while the car is charging, facilities are created dependent on drivers' interests.
Using data and machine learning, GO TO-U provides over 300,000 charging stations in 47+ countries globally.
#10 Keiki
Keiki is a team that develops early learning apps for toddlers and preschoolers. The startup is driven by the idea of combining engaging play with educational value. From puzzles to coloring sheets – Keiki enriches the playing experience by making it digital.
As for now, the team has 5 mobile and Web educational products in its portfolio.
This year, Keiki initiated the NFT project “The Big Thank You Elon” which combined paintings by kids from different regions of Ukraine. With the size of 30000×30000 pixels, it is the largest NFT in history.
